Brittany is synonymous with rocks, peninsulas, romantic bays, lighthouses and colourful marinas. This is a land of great navigators like Titouan Lamazu and Eric Tabarly, and a land of inspiration for great artists such as Gaugin and the masters of the Pont-Aven school- named after the artistic commune renowned for its numerous galleries and for celebrated writers such as Chateaubriand, Balzac and Victor Hugo.
We invite you to discover Brittanys spectacular scenery, and the stories that move with the tides. Of course, one cannot miss the Pointe du Raz - classed as a Grand Site de France - towering 70 metres high above the sea.

In the Gulf of Morbihan, made up of 365 islands, you will find the Ile au Moines, known as the pearl of the gulf and the Belle Ile en Mer, a magnificent island with a breathtaking variety of wildlife. Two must-see destinations.
If it is history that interests you, then visit Brittanys noble castles, such as the Chateau de Pontivy, constructed in the military style of the late Middle-Ages, or Vaubans citadel on Belle Ile de Mer, its huge imposing walls serving as a reminder of a prestigious military past. Visit towns like Concarneau, the biggest Tuna port in France with its magnificent granite village surrounded by towering battlements, and the famous Saint-Malo, known the world over since the 16th century, where the beauty of its architecture is bettered only by the charm of its beaches. Saint-Malo boasts the most spectacular tides in Europe, and every 4 years the town proudly plays host to the international boat race "Route du Rhum".
You will also find legendary sites like Carnac where the mysterious standing stones, erected around 4500BC, create the largest Neolithic site in the world.
Of course, Brittany is also a region overflowing with culinary delights, and you will have the chance to sample the very best of the wonderful local fare: exquisite oysters, mussels, sweet and savoury crepes and galettes, and the traditional "Far Breton". The local cuisine goes hand in hand with the two beverages which reign supreme in Brittany - beer and cider. Enjoy the local tipples in one of the countless bars and bistros and let your tastebuds sample some truly unforgettable flavours.
