The Mas de Viens is a magnificent building of 300 m², dating from the 16th Century and ideal for about 12 people. Situated in the Parc Naturel Régional du Lubéron, the house offers an intimate surrounding, yet is not at all far from the main tourist sites of Provence and the Lubéron. This is the starting point for strolls into Provencal history; don't forget to visit the exceptional site, the Provencal Colorado just a few minutes' away. This adventure promises to be filled with hundreds of scents and colours, the perfect way to discover this fantastic panorama moulded by nature and the ochre that, once upon a time, used to be exported all over the world. The country house is situated in the ideal position to explore the enchanting surroundings, the lavender fields and the ancestral traditions.
A peaceful haven, the Mas de Viens combines the charm of old stone with contemporary furnishings and is surrounded by a Provencal garden of approximately 1800 m², planted with magnificent Mediterranean species and with a mountain view from the enormous covered terrace with attached living and dining Summer rooms - all this is very important in a region where outdoors is just as important as indoors. Gathered around the glittering swimming pool, laze about in a typically Provencal setting with absolutely exceptional views of the mountains and the Mas. To make this marvellous view even better, go and sit up on the little panoramic balcony at roof-level - from here, Provence will stretch out before you in all directions.
Inside, the sophisticated furnishings combine traditional and contemporary touches, the perfect concoction of grand materials such as stone, wood, terracotta and iron. The walls are lime-plastered in keeping with the simultaneously traditional, classy and natural spirit of the decor.
