Located in the Allue Valley, at an altitude of 1450 m, Méribel is a ski resort where charm hasn't stopped enticing a diverse and expecting clientel fore more than 70 years. Méribel is a dynamic and chic resort at the heart of all the skiing that goes on in the ski area you can't miss, the prestigious 3 Valleys Domain, the biggest in the world !
Many other reasons make Méribel one of the most attractive resorts : its environment is very well preserved, its chalets are made with traditional Savoie architecture completely covered with wood and stone, all this conserves an authentic character in a valley composed of 14 villages which are inhabited all year long.
The Méribel Valley resort, made of Méribel-les-Allues, Méribel-Village, and Méribel-Mottaret, is an authentic Olympic station where you can go down the slopes in various forms of snow sports : Alpine skiing, freestyle or freeride skiing or snowboarding, and beginner zones. Setting off from the Méribel ski area, we can go with skis on no matter where we start, its panoramic view to take your breath away, its wooded areas of wild charm to ski through on days with not as fine weather, its sunny slopes directed toward the East and the West, the quality of snow guaranteed by its high elevation (80% of the slopes are above 1800 m high, 42% is equipped with snow makers), its snow equipment - cable cars, chair lifts, snow makers...- state-of-the-art technology that allows us to get on the lifts without waiting too long.
Méribel is also a hiker's paradise, criss-crossing the many paths in the surrounding nature from the Altiport, Allues, or Méribel-Mottaret. Easy paths will allow you to try a new route every day or choose a more suitable route according to your physical condition. Before heading out, just stop by for more information on the status of the snow that particular day.
A pedestrian pass will give you access to the cable cars at different starting points in the valley and will make it easier for you to get back to the station. It'll even give you access to several ski lifts in the 3 Valleys Domain and you'll be able to take the shuttles at these stations (except the Pass Montagne shuttles connecting Méribel to Courchevel).
